Reminder: Planned Maintenance Tonight

Saturday, October 27th, 2007

On Sunday, October 28th, 2007 from 1:00 am to 6:00 am CST, we will be performing maintenance on mf1 and mf2.  Our gateways will be moved to a new rack in the datacenter that we are currently housed in.

Please note that each gateway will only be down for about a half hour or so, and any mail will be spooled by the sending server so no messages will be lost during this time.

Additionally, our other servers, including those that house the easyantispam.com and protectedmail.net sites, will be migrated as well and will experience the same downtime stated above.

We will post an update here when the move is complete.

Easy Antispam Service Update

Thursday, October 11th, 2007

At approximately 12:45 am CST on October 10th, 2007, the virus filtering program on our mf1 gateway got hung up on a process.  As a result, almost 63,000 messages had to be put into the Unscanned queue.  This caused a delay in receipt of messages that had been sent overnight.

The issue was resolved at 10:00 am CST, and mail flow has returned to normal.  No messages were lost as a result of this issue.

Spam Increase on MF1

Tuesday, May 15th, 2007

The spam definition update process encountered an error on MF1 late yesterday which caused future updates to not be applied properly to the gateway.  MailFoundry technicians fixed the problem at approximately 1:00pm central time today and have made a change to the gateway in an attempt to prevent this from happening again.

Due to the lack of updates during the time of this issue you may have noticed an increased level of spam messages making it through the gateway.  This should no longer be an issue.

MF1 Planned Maintenance Complete
