Purity Networks API version 2.0 documentation started

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

With the release of UserProtect, we’re working on a new version of the Purity Networks API to incorporate functionality to work with UserProtect and DomainProtect accounts.  We’re still in the early design and development stage, but we’ve started working on the documentation on the Wiki at the same time to give our users input into the design.

Please see the new wiki section to take a look at what we’re working on.  The new version of the API is not going to be a SOAP API like version 1.0 is.  It’s going to be a RESTful API, which is much easier to work with.

Please give us as much feedback as you can so that we can take it into account as we develop the new version of the API.  Have thoughts or comments?  Let us know in the comment section below or in the discussion section on the wiki page.

UserProtect service now available

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

We’re happy to announce that our new UserProtect service is now available for ordering! See our services page for detailed information.

We’re working on a new version of our API that will include UserProtect functionality, but at the moment it’s not available yet.  We’re hoping to have this available for use in the next couple of weeks.

Please be sure to let us know what you think about the new UserProtect service!

API Documentation Available

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008

We’ve started putting together the Easy Antispam API documentation in Wiki form.  We still have a number of functions to describe in the documentation, but that will be done within the next couple of days.

Feel free to start taking a look around the documentation and getting a feel for the API.  There is an example PHP script in the documentation as well that is extremely easy to use.

API Ready for Testers

We’re ready for a few testers to give the API some work and give us some feedback on it.

We have the following functions done:

listDomains

Lists domains assigned to the specified server

addDomain

Adds a domain to the specified server

addDomainAlias

Adds an alias domain to the specified domain

deleteDomain

Deletes the specified domain

deleteDomainAlias

Deletes the specified alias domain from the specified domain

listDomainAliases

Returns a list of alias domains associated with the specified domain

If you’re interested in helping us test the API, please contact support.

Account Manager API – What features are needed?

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

Hi everyone,

We’ve been doing some work on the Account Manager API and I’d like some feedback on what everyone feels they need as far as functionality in the API.  First, let me say that at this time we’re only planning on implementing an API for ServerProtect accounts.  We may add some DomainProtect functionality at a later point, but we’re concentrating on basic add/delete/list type functionality for ServerProtect accounts at this time.

Currently, we have the following working:

listDomains – Returns a comma-separated list of domains mapped to the specified server
addDomain – Add a domain to the system, mapped to the specified server

We’ll have a deleteDomain function ready to go shortly as well.

So, after those three functions, what else is needed?

The API is implemented as a SOAP web service.  We’ll have easy to use PHP examples available when we release the API.
