All of this emergency maintenance in the middle of the day does not do a lot for customer confidence.

I understand. However, it’s an unfortunate fact of life that sometimes hard drives need to be repaired. Once we determined what the problem was we felt it was better to get it corrected immediately rather than wait.

That sounds more like sugar coating an excuse with reverse psychology. It is like saying “well you want it to work don’t you” when maybe you should be thinking “how could we have prevented this downtime”.

Of course we’re looking at how we can prevent these types of issues in the future. Believe me, I don’t like them happening any more than you do.
We’re in the design phase of a significant change and upgrade to our infrastructure right now, in fact, that will alleviate these types of issues. I don’t have a specific ETA on the upgrade yet, but we’re hoping to have it in place within the next month or so.
